Disinterest

Many organizations today must tackle an ever-growing problem. Technology is growing at an alarming rate, and a multitude of electronic gadgets surrounds learners. Older methods of learning are frankly outdated. Students taught by this ancient system face a growing lack of interest in conservative teaching styles. The former methodologies include reading the textbook out loud with the class or lecturing. These mundane methods induce educational apathy and even slumber to some pupils. In a 2004 Journal, From the Arcade to the Classroom, it stated, “Educators are confronted by a dilemma: Students have become so accustomed to technology that new means must be employed to retain their interest during the educational process” (Howard, Ellis, & Rasmussen).
